Precise transillumination: Visualization of superficial and deeper venous structures
For optimal contrast enhancement of the veins, high-intensity orange LEDs are utilized for superficial veins, while red LEDs are used for deeper vessels. The darker the treatment environment, the more effective the contrast visualization becomes.
The characteristic horseshoe shape enables venipuncture directly through the ring opening with one hand, while simultaneously allowing for skin stretching and vein stabilization with the other hand. All models are CE-certified as **Class 1 medical devices** and are delivered with a **one-year full warranty**.
Included in the Standard Scope of Delivery:
- Snap-on Adapter: For optimal shielding of distracting ambient light during examinations.
- Size Reduction Adapter: For precise vein visualization on curved anatomical surfaces (such as the shin bone edge or ankle). This adapter is also exceptionally helpful for obtaining venous access in pediatric patients.
- 50 Latex-Free Disposable Protective Covers: Included with every Veinlite package to consistently prevent cross-contamination and infection transmission from patient to patient.
Overview of Portable Veinlite Models

Veinlite LEDX
The Veinlite LEDX is the most powerful model, featuring 32 LEDs (24 orange and 8 red) that can be operated independently or together. With its large 31 mm viewing field diameter and deep-focus capability, it is the ideal instrument for sclerotherapy as well as vein visualization in obese (adipose) patients. The rechargeable battery is charged via a USB cable. When battery capacity drops below 20%, a warning LED alerts you to recharge. A practical carrying pouch is included in the scope of delivery.

Veinlite LED
This is the world's most widely used model for establishing venous access in hospital departments and medical practices. The battery is rechargeable via a USB cable and powers 28 separately or jointly switchable LEDs (22 orange and 6 red). To preserve battery life, the instrument features an automatic shut-off function after 10 minutes of non-use. A protective instrument pouch is included as standard.

Veinlite EMS Pro
Our most cost-effective model, featuring 24 LEDs (12 orange, 4 red, and 8 white), is specifically designed for emergency medical services (EMS) and intravenous interventions during clinical routines at the bedside or in home care. For vein localization, the orange and red LEDs are activated with a single switch. In dark environments, 8 white LEDs can be switched on to act as a flashlight for a quick overview. Due to its robust, simplified technology without built-in charging electronics, it runs on 2 standard AA batteries. Delivered complete with a carrying pouch.

Veinlite Pedi 2
This specialized model for pediatric venous access features 14 LEDs (10 orange and 4 red) that can be activated together or selecting the orange LEDs only. It is powered by 2 x AAA batteries. Using a separate switch, the light intensity can be adjusted across 3 levels, which is particularly helpful for infants and sensitive skin. The new Veinlite Pedi 2 is the premier choice for pediatric venous access and, based on experience, also serves as an excellent visual distraction to reduce needle anxiety in toddlers.

Veinlite NEO
This is the newest and only instrument on the market designed for mapping and accessing veins and arteries in neonates using the transillumination method. The high-performance LED features 3 different switchable colors (orange for veins, green for arteries, and white for general examinations), enabling precise vascular visualization in neonatology. For optimal transillumination intensity, the light can also be adjusted across 3 brightness levels. It operates economically on a single AAA battery.

Veinlite Research R
The Veinlite R Research is a new instrument specifically designed for mapping and securely accessing arteries and veins in laboratory mice and rats for research purposes. It is based on the proven transillumination method of the Veinlite NEO, optimized for the tails of laboratory mice and rats. The tails are secured in a special adapter, as shown in the adjacent photo.
